Synopsis
Shark Bait (2022) is a British-Maltese horror thriller directed by James Nunn that you can watch online on iFILM. Eighty-six minutes, open water, and a great white shark — that is the whole proposition, and it is enough.
A group of friends steal two jet skis off the beach and race out to sea. The collision happens fast: one jet ski sinks, the other won't start, and one of them has a badly broken leg. The shore is a long swim away. Nobody knows where they are. And something large has started circling underneath. Holly Earl leads a cast of young unknowns who sell the panic convincingly once things go wrong.
Nunn strips the film back to its basics — almost no land, no rescue subplot, no padding. The shark appears sparingly, which is the right call. When it does show up, it counts.
