About

Synopsis

Finding Nemo (2003) — a Pixar animated adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Director Andrew Stanton built the story around Marlin, a clownfish so scared of the ocean he barely leaves the reef. When his son Nemo is scooped up by a scuba diver and ends up in a dentist's fish tank in Sydney, Marlin has no choice but to swim straight into his worst fears.

He gets an unlikely travel partner: Dory, a blue tang with severe short-term memory loss. Together they drift through jellyfish blooms, narrowly survive a shark encounter, and hitch a ride with sea turtles cruising the East Australian Current. Meanwhile Nemo plots his own escape from the tank, coached by the battle-scarred Gill, voiced by Willem Dafoe. Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres lead the voice cast, giving the duo its nervous, often funny chemistry.

Released in 2003, the film earned over $940 million worldwide and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature — the first Oscar Pixar took home in that category. The animation team worked with marine biologists to build the reef world frame by frame. Stream Finding Nemo in full online on iFILM.
