The days are numbered.
Synopsis
28 Days Later (2002) is Danny Boyle's British horror landmark that rewired the zombie genre — watch it online on iFILM. Written by Alex Garland and shot on a consumer-grade Canon XL1 digital camera, the film turned an $8 million budget into grainy, immediate dread: empty London streets that feel less like set dressing and more like footage from a city that simply stopped existing.
Jim (Cillian Murphy) wakes up alone in an abandoned hospital, pulls out his IV, and walks into a capital with nothing moving in it. No people, no cars, no sound. Four weeks earlier, animal activists released an infected chimp from a research lab, and a rage virus tore through Britain faster than anyone could react. Jim finds a handful of survivors — Selena (Naomie Harris), a man named Frank (Brendan Gleeson), and his teenage daughter Hannah. A military radio broadcast promises safety up north. What they find instead is Major Henry West (Christopher Eccleston), whose idea of civilization has curdled into something the infected might recognize.
The film grossed over $82 million worldwide and reshaped horror for the following decade — its running, screaming infected became the template for a genre that had grown slow. Stream 28 Days Later (2002) online on iFILM.
