Synopsis
Deep Blue Sea (1999) is a sci-fi action horror about brainy sharks that you can watch online on iFILM. On the floating lab Aquatica, scientists chasing a cure for Alzheimer's tamper with the brains of their captive sharks. The predators end up sharper than anyone on the crew.
When a storm wrecks part of the station, the experiment slips loose. Three giant makos start hunting the people who made them, and the flooding corridors become a trap. Dr. Susan (Saffron Burrows), shark wrangler Carter (Thomas Jane), cook-turned-preacher Preacher (LL Cool J), and an investor played by Samuel L. Jackson scramble to survive as the water rises. The sharks think faster, swim harder, and stay a step ahead.
Director Renny Harlin built a brutal ride that includes one of the most talked-about death scenes of 90s cinema. Stellan Skarsgard and Michael Rapaport round out the cast. The film has long held cult status among fans of sea-monster horror. Stream Deep Blue Sea (1999) online on iFILM.
