Synopsis

About two hundred yards out, Nancy strays into a great white shark's hunting ground and, with a torn leg, drags herself onto a tiny rock that the rising tide will soon swallow. The clock runs down, her phone is out of reach, and her only company is a wounded gull and a buoy just a little too far away. Most of the film rests on one actress, the ocean, and a predator you barely glimpse. Collet-Serra shoots it tight and tense, turning every swim toward safety into a count of seconds.
