Synopsis

A Lonely Place to Die (2011) is Julian Gilbey's British survival thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Five climbers head deep into the Scottish Highlands chasing quiet and adrenaline. What they find instead is a young girl buried alive in the ground.

The child, a Serbian girl named Anna, has spent days sealed in a cramped underground box. The moment the group digs her out, the people who hid her there emerge from the mist, and a desperate chase begins down sheer cliffs, across roaring rivers, and through dense forest. The kidnappers know this terrain far better and shoot without warning. Melissa George anchors the film as Alison, for whom rescuing a stranger's child becomes a private war.

The first half is pure vertical panic, shot on real rock faces with none of the usual safety fakery; the second swerves into a hard-edged action manhunt. Karel Roden and Sean Harris lend the villains a chilling, businesslike calm. It's a tight, underrated genre piece for anyone who likes their survival stories tense.
