Dog Soldiers

By nightfall the job has gone to pieces. The squad finds a Special Forces camp torn apart and one bleeding survivor, Captain Ryan (Liam Cunningham), then something starts hunting them through the trees. Sergeant Wells (Sean Pertwee) and Cooper (Kevin McKidd) hole up in an abandoned farmhouse and dig in until dawn. The pack circles outside. Ammo runs low, the moon is full, and nobody is coming.

Marshall built his debut on practical effects, real suits and animatronics instead of CGI, plus a stream of foul-mouthed barracks banter that keeps it funny between maulings. Think Aliens with fur.
