Synopsis
The Ritual (2017) is the horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Director David Bruckner drops four old friends into a Scandinavian forest, and not all of them are walking back out. Rafe Spall takes the lead.
The hike is meant to honor a friend who died. It starts ordinary enough — a trail, tents, old grudges aired around the fire. Then someone twists a knee, and the group decides to cut through the woods to save time. The path vanishes, phones go dead, and gutted animals start showing up in the branches alongside symbols nobody wants to decode. An abandoned cabin offers shelter and turns into a trap. Something is out there, older than the legends, and it is in no hurry to reveal itself.
Adapted from Adam Nevill's novel, it leans on slow dread and buried guilt rather than cheap jump scares. The longer the night drags on, the clearer it gets: the thing chasing them is tangled up with what they're running from inside. Stream The Ritual (2017) online on iFILM.
