No Way Up

No Way Up (2024) is a claustrophobic survival thriller from director Claudio Fäh, available to watch online on iFILM. A passenger jet goes down over the Pacific and sinks, lodging on the lip of an underwater cliff. A handful of survivors are left inside with a shrinking pocket of air.

The fuselage balances on a rock ledge with a black drop below it, so every shift of weight threatens to send the wreck plunging. Water keeps rising, oxygen keeps falling, and sharks start circling the broken hull. The trapped passengers are strangers thrown together, now forced to gamble on swimming out through flooded cabins. Colm Meaney and Phyllis Logan bring a couple of familiar faces to the cast.

The film runs on a single premise and grips it tightly: a sealed space, an air countdown, and danger pressing in from two directions at once. It won't be mistaken for deep, but as a 90-minute pressure cooker of mounting panic it does the job. Good pick for fans of lean, talk-light survival horror. Stream No Way Up (2024) online on iFILM.
