Iceman

Iceman (2014) is a Hong Kong action fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. A Ming-dynasty imperial guard is framed as a murderer and traitor, and the three childhood friends sent to capture him turn on him in the chase. Their fight ends under an avalanche that seals all four in ice for some three hundred years.

A wealthy collector digs up the frozen bodies and ships them to present-day Hong Kong for study — where the warriors thaw out and scatter into a century none of them understand. On Halloween night the hunted captain takes shelter with a tipsy, worn-out bargirl who slowly teaches the medieval soldier how the modern city works. His pursuers split apart too: one still wants to drag him before a court, the other decides to build a name for himself in the city. Donnie Yen heads the cast, alongside Simon Yam and Wang Baoqiang.

Director Law Wing-cheong blends period fantasy, street-level action and fish-out-of-water comedy, with Yen handling the fight choreography himself. It's aimed at Hong Kong action fans who don't mind a deliberately silly plot wrapped around the brawls. Stream Iceman (2014) online on iFILM.
