Synopsis
Semi-Pro (2008) is a Will Ferrell sports comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It's 1976, the American Basketball Association is on its last legs, and the worst team in the league is about to be wiped off the map.
Jackie Moon owns the Flint Tropics. He also coaches them and suits up as their star. When the NBA announces a merger, only the top four ABA clubs survive the cut, and the Tropics are stuck dead last. So Moon cooks up a desperate scheme to drag them up to fourth, leaning on gimmicks, a washed-up pro brought in to win games (Woody Harrelson), and one very real bear. Andre Benjamin and Maura Tierney round out the bench.
Director Kent Alterman lets Ferrell run wild here, all afro, tiny shorts and the slogan "Putting the funk into the dunk."
