Synopsis
Tommy Boy (1995) is an American road-trip comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It took Tommy Callahan seven years to crawl through college, and he comes home a clumsy goof with no plan and no skills. Waiting for him: the family auto-parts factory and the father who runs it.
Then his dad drops dead, and everything falls apart. The plant is buried in debt, the workers are about to lose their jobs, and Tommy's brand-new stepmother and her slimy "son" look ready to grab the company for themselves. To save it, Tommy hits the highway to sell brake pads across the country. Riding shotgun is Richard, a sarcastic office clerk, and the trip turns into a string of disasters, wrecked cars and nonstop bickering.
The pairing came straight from Saturday Night Live: heavyset, lovable Chris Farley as Tommy and dry-witted David Spade as Richard. The cast also packs in Brian Dennehy, Bo Derek, Rob Lowe and Dan Aykroyd, with Peter Segal directing. After Farley's early death in 1997, the film became a cult tribute to his comic gift.
