Synopsis
Horse Girl (2020) is a psychological drama starring Alison Brie that you can watch online on iFILM. Sarah works at a craft store, loves arts and crafts, horses and supernatural true-crime shows, and gets through most days barely speaking to anyone.
She starts trying to build a life. Her roommate drags her to a party, a guy comes into the picture, things look up. Then the cracks appear. Sarah's dreams turn vivid enough to follow her into waking hours, she wakes in places she can't explain, loses stretches of time, and grows convinced something is wrong with reality itself. From there the film refuses to tell you where mental illness ends and something stranger might begin.
Brie didn't just play Sarah, she co-wrote the script with director Jeff Baena, drawing on her own family history. It landed on Netflix after a Sundance premiere and splits viewers down the middle, hypnotic to some, deeply unsettling to others.
