Synopsis
Life After Beth (2014) is a horror comedy with Aubrey Plaza and Dane DeHaan that you can watch online on iFILM. Zach is wrecked by his girlfriend Beth's sudden death, until she turns up again, warm and breathing, as if nothing ever happened.
At first it feels like a miracle and a second shot at love. Zach hides the resurrected Beth away, falls for her all over again, and waves off the warning signs. Then her appetite spikes, her skin grays, and her temper curdles by the hour. Writer-director Jeff Baena plays the genre in a minor key, less about the bites and more about how hard it is to let someone go. John C. Reilly and Molly Shannon show up as parents, and Anna Kendrick drops in too. It is a darkly funny, awkward, oddly tender little movie for anyone who likes indie comedies with a whiff of decay.
