Synopsis

Herbert West arrives at Miskatonic University carrying a glowing green reagent and a total absence of ethical limits. His roommate Dan is skeptical — until West runs the first experiment right in their apartment. From there the chaos moves into the university morgue, where department head Dr. Hill has plans of his own. Jeffrey Combs plays West with a chilling, almost comedic precision that launched a franchise.
Shot on a budget under a million dollars and released without an MPAA rating to dodge distributor cuts, the film earned several times its cost in US theaters alone.
