Synopsis
Danika (2006) is a psychological thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Marisa Tomei plays a mother of three whose ordinary days keep cracking open into terrifying visions.
Danika has blamed herself for her brother's accidental death since childhood. With her husband behind her she starts seeing a therapist, Evelyn, but a steady drip of news reports about harmed children feeds her dread for her own family. The line between hallucination and premonition thins until neither she nor we can locate it.
Director Ariel Vromen — who would later make The Iceman with Michael Shannon — keeps this one short and contained, 79 minutes built on unease rather than jump scares. Tomei carries it on raw nerves, and the ending makes you reassemble everything you thought you saw. Best for viewers who prefer the psychology of a breakdown to monsters.
