P2

P2 (2007) is a horror thriller from Franck Khalfoun, and you can watch it online on iFILM. It's Christmas Eve, the office tower has emptied out, and Angela heads down to the underground garage to drive home. Her car won't start. The elevators are dead. The exits are sealed.

Rachel Nichols plays a woman whose only plan was making it to a family dinner. Instead she meets Thomas, the night security guard played by Wes Bentley, polite, soft-spoken and utterly unhinged. He has set a holiday table for two and has no intention of letting his guest leave. From there it's concrete levels, flickering strip lights, a handcuff on a radiator, and a long night where help is never coming.

Alexandre Aja and Khalfoun wrote the script, and it carries the mean, grimy streak of that 2000s French horror wave: tight, dirty, physically rough. Almost the entire film rests on two actors and a single setting, which keeps it teeth-grindingly claustrophobic. Worth a look if you like lean survival thrillers in one location.
