Synopsis

The Town that Dreaded Sundown (2014) is a horror thriller directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon that you can watch online on iFILM. Texarkana, 1946: a masked killer called the Phantom struck couples in the dark and was never caught. Almost seventy years later, the murders start again — same town, same methods, same dread after sundown.

Addison Timlin plays a teenage girl carrying her own secret, pulled into a hunt that blurs the line between a real cold case and the 1976 cult film made about it. Denis O'Hare and Gary Cole round out the cast. The killer doesn't just copy the original crimes — he stages scenes straight out of that old movie, turning celluloid myth into fresh violence. Director Gomez-Rejon leans into the meta layer: a town haunted by its legend, and by the camera that preserved it.

Stream The Town that Dreaded Sundown (2014) online on iFILM — a sharp slasher that wraps true-crime history inside a hall of mirrors.
