When Michael escapes during a prison transfer, the silent killer walks into town on Halloween night, and three generations of Strode women stand between him and the rest of Haddonfield.

The film ignores every earlier sequel and picks up straight from John Carpenter's original. Carpenter himself came back to produce and re-recorded that unmistakable synth theme.
