The Last Legion

The Last Legion (2007) is an adventure epic with Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley that you can watch online on iFILM. It is 476 AD, the Roman Empire is collapsing, and the boy-emperor Romulus Augustus is thrown into a cell on the island of Capri.

He escapes with his mentor Ambrosinus and a loyal soldier, Aurelius, then sets out for Britain in search of the Ninth Legion — the last troops still faithful to Rome. A mysterious warrior named Mira, played by Aishwarya Rai, joins the road. Peter Mullan, Kevin McKidd and a young Thomas Brodie-Sangster fill out the cast. The script ties the fall of Rome to the roots of the King Arthur myth, which is why Caesar's sword looks an awful lot like the future Excalibur.
