Gladiator II (2024) — watch online on iFILM, Ridley Scott's return to ancient Rome twenty-four years after the original. Paramount Pictures and Scott Free Productions backed the project with a $310 million budget; composer Harry Gregson-Williams scored the film, and principal photography ran across Morocco, Malta, and a purpose-built recreation of the Colosseum.

Lucius grew up far from Rome's reach — until General Acacius, played by Pedro Pascal, leads an assault that takes everything from him. Sold into the arena, he fights his way up under the eye of Macrinus, a sharp-minded operator Denzel Washington plays with barely-concealed ambition. The emperors Geta and Caracalla, a volatile pair played by Joseph Quinn and Fred Hechinger, hold Rome in a grip that is already slipping. Paul Mescal carries Lucius through every bout: rage just underneath the surface, calculations running beneath that. Connie Nielsen returns as Lucilla, working an angle none of the men see coming.
