Synopsis
Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000) is a supernatural horror you can watch online on iFILM. Instead of replaying the legend, it turns on the frenzy around it — the first film was a phenomenon, and the town of Burkittsville is now cashing in.
Local guy Jeff runs a commercial "Blair Witch Hunt" tour through the same woods and the ruins of Rustin Parr's house. Four people sign up to spend the night with him: a pair of paranormal researchers, a young psychic, and a sharp-tongued goth student. By morning, five hours have vanished from everyone's memory at once, their tapes are corrupted, and strange marks have appeared on their skin. The deeper they dig, the harder it gets to tell what actually happened from what their minds invented.
The film comes from Joe Berlinger, a documentary maker (Brother's Keeper), who treats it as a study of mass hysteria around a horror hit. The tone is nothing like the original's found footage — flashbacks, cross-cutting, narrators you can't trust.
