Paranormal Activity 3

Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) is a found-footage horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman take the story back to 1988, showing the childhood of sisters Katie and Kristi — the same two at the center of the franchise. Strange things start happening in their family home.

Kristi befriends an invisible presence she calls Toby. Their stepfather sets up cameras throughout the house, and the footage catches what no one can quite see with the naked eye. Joost and Schulman — fresh off the documentary Catfish — kept the budget tight and the tension steadily building through static surveillance shots and long quiet stretches punctuated by sudden movement.
