Lemonade Mouth

Lemonade Mouth (2011) is Patricia Riggen's Disney Channel music movie, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Five mismatched freshmen meet in afternoon detention and accidentally start a band that ends up speaking for the whole school.

Olivia, Stella, Wen, Mo and Charlie have nothing obvious in common and would probably never have spoken otherwise. Stuck together in a basement classroom next to an old lemonade machine, they begin to play, and the sound clicks. They name the group after that vending machine and grow from punished outcasts into a voice loud enough to challenge the principal and his rules. Bridgit Mendler, Naomi Scott, Adam Hicks, Hayley Kiyoko and Blake Michael make up the lineup.

Based on Mark Peter Hughes' novel, the film leans hard on its original songs, several of which became real hits with younger viewers.
