Synopsis

Battlefield Earth (2000) is a sci-fi action film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Roger Christian. The year is 3000, and Earth has spent a thousand years under the boot of the Psychlos — towering alien profiteers who strip the planet bare and keep humanity as slave labor.

The survivors live like cave dwellers until Jonnie Goodboy Tyler (Barry Pepper) is captured and handed to Terl, the scheming security chief played by John Travolta under fangs, dreadlocks and platform boots. Terl plans to exploit the human as a cheap mining crew. Bad idea. Tyler taps into Psychlo tech and learning machines, then turns that knowledge into a revolt. Forest Whitaker and Kelly Preston round out the cast.

Adapted from L. Ron Hubbard's novel, the movie cost around a hundred million and bombed hard, sweeping that year's Razzies. Decades on, it lives a second life as a so-bad-it's-fun cult object: the tilted camera angles, the green wash over every frame, Travolta's enormous cackling villain. Stream Battlefield Earth (2000) online on iFILM and judge it for yourself.
