Mortal Engines

Mortal Engines (2018) is a sci-fi adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Long after a war flattened the old world, whole cities rolled onto wheels and now chase each other across the wastes, swallowing smaller towns for fuel and parts.

The giant traction city of London is hunting prey when Tom Natsworthy, a young apprentice from its lower decks, runs into Hester Shaw — a scarred drifter who came aboard to kill the city's most powerful man. Both end up dumped onto the open ground. Among rogue settlements and bounty hunters, the two trace Hester's past straight to a weapon that could wipe out what little life remains.

Christian Rivers makes his directing debut here, adapting Philip Reeve's novel with a script and production from Peter Jackson's team. Hera Hilmar, Robert Sheehan and Hugo Weaving lead the cast.
