Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) is a Marvel Studios sci-fi action film you can watch online on iFILM. Director James Gunn built the story around five misfits who have no business working together: Peter Quill, a human scavenger raised in space; Gamora, a trained assassin trying to go rogue; Drax, a literal-minded bruiser hunting for revenge; Rocket, a genetically engineered raccoon with a weapons fixation; and Groot, a walking tree of very few words.

When Quill lifts a mysterious orb without knowing what it is, every bounty hunter in the galaxy comes looking. The only way out is to stick together — which is easier said than done when none of them trust each other. The film runs 120 minutes and does not slow down for long.

Released in August 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy crossed $770 million worldwide and turned Chris Pratt into a movie star overnight. With Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper rounding out the team, Gunn turned Marvel's least-known cosmic property into one of the franchise's best-loved entries.
