Synopsis
Lewis (2007), Season 1 is the British crime drama you can watch online on iFILM — three feature-length cases set in the colleges of Oxford. It spins off the long-running Inspector Morse: five years after his mentor's death, Detective Inspector Robert Lewis comes back to the city that made him.
His new partner is Sergeant James Hathaway, a Cambridge-educated former seminarian who answers most things with a raised eyebrow. Together they work three standalone mysteries. The first drags them into the death of a leading university figure, where research and ego sit too close together. The second forces Lewis to confront his own past amid fame and scheming. The closing case opens as the apparent suicide of an Oxford housewife and turns into something far grimmer.
Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox set the tone the series kept for nearly a decade: slow, methodical detective work and old grief behind a polite English surface. Watch Lewis Season 1 online on iFILM.
