Synopsis
Lewis (2007), Season 7 — a British detective drama you can watch online on iFILM, six episodes that send Inspector Robert Lewis and Sergeant James Hathaway back into Oxford's murderous common rooms.
The season runs as three two-part cases. A psychology researcher turns up dead from an etorphine injection, and the trail loops back to the same drug stolen from an equine centre. Later an embalmed corpse is dumped beside a remote farm track, and a quietly faked cremation drags a second death into the light. The closing pair ties a don murdered the night he leaves prison to a missing student whose body waits in a college chapel attic.
What sets this run apart is the slow turn in Lewis's own life: he and pathologist Laura Hobson edge into a relationship while the casework keeps testing it. Lewis and Hathaway are called in to investigate the death of Reuben Beatty who works at the University of Oxford’s Department of Psychology. He has been discovered dead injected by etorphine, a paralysing agent in the offices of psychic ‘Randolph James’.

Lewis and Hobson are examining the body of murdered Vicki Walmsley when a theft of etorphine is reported by the Garsington Equine Centre. The drug was last used a year earlier on a horse that injured its teenage rider, Joshua Grace – the brother-in-law of Reuben Beatty, the first murder victim.
