Synopsis
Piranha 3DD (2012) is a gleefully trashy horror comedy you can watch online on iFILM for the pure schlock of it. After the carnage at Lake Victoria, the prehistoric man-eaters find a fresh route — up through the pipes and sewers and into the pools of a brand-new water park called The Big Wet.
Plot is barely the point. College student Maddy (Danielle Panabaker) comes home to find her stepdad has rebranded the family park with "water-certified stripper" lifeguards, just as the hungry swarm arrives underneath it all. Cue blood, screaming, neon swimsuits, and a parade of cameos that are the real reason to press play. David Hasselhoff shows up as a cowardly version of himself, and Christopher Lloyd returns to rant about piranha biology like a mad professor.
Director John Gulager aims for nothing beyond 83 minutes of gore and nonsense, and he's honest about it. This one's for a loud group, a few beers, and a "dumber is funnier" mood.
