Director Simon Wincer works the same fish-out-of-water gag the original built its name on: an unflappable wild man loose in a glossy metropolis. This is the lightest, most family-friendly chapter of the trilogy, easygoing and undemanding, aimed squarely at viewers who grew up on the first film and want one more round with Hogan in the role.
