Synopsis
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) is Steven Spielberg's action adventure you can watch online on iFILM. The archaeologist in the battered hat is back, chasing an ancient relic and barely keeping his own skin.
The story runs a year before the first film. A deal in a Shanghai nightclub falls apart, and Dr. Jones escapes with nightclub singer Willie Scott and a quick-witted kid named Short Round. A plane, a malaria-ridden train and a wild river ride dump them in a starving Indian village, where the locals beg him to recover their stolen children and a sacred stone. The trail leads to palace catacombs ruled by the Thuggee cult, who tear hearts out in sacrifice to the goddess Kali. Harrison Ford returns as Indy, Kate Capshaw plays Willie, and Ke Huy Quan, decades from his own Oscar, plays Short Round.
This is the darkest chapter of the saga. Its ripped-out hearts and grim rituals rattled parents so badly that the film pushed America to invent the PG-13 rating. John Williams wrote the score, George Lucas produced. Stream Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) online on iFILM.
