Synopsis
An Almost Christmas Story (2024) is an animated short you can watch online on iFILM. A baby owl named Moon dozes off in the branches of a fir tree and wakes up in New York City — riding the very spruce that's headed to Rockefeller Plaza to be decorated.
To find his way back, the little owl has to cross a winter metropolis, and a lost girl named Luna becomes his partner for the trip. In just over twenty minutes the film gets at friendship, the fright of a huge city, and the pull of home, all without turning syrupy. Director David Lowery (The Green Knight) lines up a warm voice cast: John C. Reilly, Natasha Lyonne and Jim Gaffigan.
