Sleeping Dogs

Sleeping Dogs (2024) is Adam Cooper's detective thriller led by Russell Crowe, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Roy Freeman, a former homicide detective, is losing his memory and undergoing an experimental treatment that slowly returns the things his mind erased.

He's pulled back into a decade-old case: a man sits on death row for the savage killing of a college professor, and his lawyers swear the wrong person was convicted. Freeman has to reconstruct evidence he no longer remembers gathering, and the trail bends toward his own past, toward buried secrets, lies and betrayals he may have been part of himself. Karen Gillan and Marton Csokas appear as figures from that old story.

This is the directorial debut of screenwriter Adam Cooper, adapted from E. O. Chirovici's novel The Book of Mirrors.
