Jack Skellington is the king of Halloween Town — a place that runs on scares and never sees daylight. He is bored out of his skeleton. When he stumbles through a portal into Christmas Town and finds warmth, colour and something completely foreign to him, he hatches a plan to take the holiday for himself. Chris Sarandon voices Jack while Danny Elfman, who wrote every song in the film, provides the singing. Catherine O'Hara plays Sally, the rag-doll who sees the whole thing going wrong before Jack does.
