Survival of the Dead

Survival of the Dead (2010) is George Romero's zombie horror, and you can watch it online on iFILM. On a small island off the Atlantic coast of North America, the dead won't stay down and the living can't agree on what to do about it.

Two Irish-blooded families run the place, split over one bloody question: put the risen relatives out of their misery, or chain them up and pray for a cure. A renegade National Guardsman named Sarge (Alan Van Sprang) sails in with his crew looking for safe ground and walks straight into the feud. Kenneth Welsh plays the stubborn patriarch O'Flynn, a man who'd rather shoot his neighbors than back down. Expect gunplay, gallows humor, and gore sprayed on thick.

This was the final feature from Romero, the man who invented the modern zombie, and he stages it like a Western — the island standing in for the open range, two clans for two gunslingers.
