Synopsis

Murder at 1600 (1997) is a political conspiracy thriller you can watch online on iFILM, with Wesley Snipes and Diane Lane. While the President weighs striking North Korea over a hostage crisis, a young woman turns up dead in a White House bathroom.

The case lands on Harlan Regis, a regular city homicide detective with no clearance and no friends inside the building. The Secret Service stonewalls him at every door. The only person willing to help is agent Nina Chance, who knows the system from the inside. The harder the two dig, the clearer it gets that the killing is one piece of a much bigger cover-up, and that someone is setting them up to take the fall as traitors.

It's a sturdy late-90s thriller about rot at the very top, with the nation's most guarded address turned into a hunting ground. Snipes carries it in his usual sharp, driven mode, backed by Alan Alda and Ronny Cox. A reliable pick when you want a twisty Washington intrigue. Stream Murder at 1600 (1997) online on iFILM.
