Synopsis

In October 1993, soldiers from the 19th Royal Malay Regiment were serving in Mogadishu as part of a UN peacekeeping force. When American helicopters went down near the Bakara Market and roughly seventy US Rangers were cut off in hostile streets, the Malaysians drove in to help extract them. They pushed into active urban combat with an incomplete picture of the situation and limited backup. The rescue unfolded in real time — chaotic, costly, and nothing like the mission they had planned.
Teh — who also appears in the film as an actor — built the production from documented accounts and survivor testimony, giving the Malaysian side of the 1993 Mogadishu battle its first full cinematic treatment.
