Synopsis
West Side Story (2021) is Steven Spielberg's musical drama you can watch online on iFILM. It's the late 1950s on Manhattan's West Side, and whole blocks are being torn down. Two young gangs fight over what's left of the streets: the white Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks.
Tony, once a Jet, is fresh out of jail and trying to walk away from the fighting. Maria is the kid sister of the rival crew's leader. They meet at a dance and fall for each other in a single night, blind to where it will lead. As the rivalry sharpens around them, every move they make pulls the ending closer. Rachel Zegler and Ansel Elgort star, alongside Ariana DeBose and Mike Faist.
This is a fresh take on the 1957 Broadway show scored by Leonard Bernstein, and Spielberg's first time directing a musical.
