Synopsis
The Terminal (2004) — watch online Steven Spielberg's comedy-drama from DreamWorks and Amblin Entertainment, with Tom Hanks playing a man who becomes an accidental resident of JFK International Airport. The film runs 124 minutes and draws loose inspiration from a real-life case of a stateless traveller who lived in Charles de Gaulle Airport for nearly eighteen years.
Viktor Navorski lands in New York with a valid passport — and steps into a bureaucratic void. During his flight, a coup erased his home country from the official maps: the US won't let him in, and there is no country left to send him back to. Airport director Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci) treats Viktor as a filing error he needs to clear off his desk. Viktor treats the terminal as a temporary city. He learns English from fast-food instruction leaflets, befriends the cleaning staff, schemes a side business with a food cart worker, and gradually falls for flight attendant Amelia Warren (Catherine Zeta-Jones), who has her own reasons for staying stuck.
Spielberg frames the airport not as a prison but as an odd, bustling small town where a decent person can carve out a dignified life. Hanks makes Viktor's fractured English and patient stubbornness genuinely funny without ever turning the character into a punchline. Stream The Terminal (2004) online on iFILM.
