Synopsis
Disturbing the Peace (2020) is an American action film starring Guy Pearce, available to watch online on iFILM. A quiet town, a marshal who gave up his gun, and a biker gang with ugly plans.
Jim once rode with the Texas Rangers, but after a shooting that went badly he handed in his weapon and never touched one again. These days he wears a marshal's badge in a sleepy town far off the map. The calm ends when a crew of outlaw bikers storms in to pull off a brazen, bloody robbery in broad daylight. To protect his people, the marshal has no choice but to draw his pistol once more. Devon Sawa plays the gang's leader, with Aaron Stanford also in the cast.
Director York Alec Shackleton delivers a lean action picture with a western flavor: dusty backroads, one man against many, and a final shootout the whole thing builds toward. It promises nothing more than a straight-ahead action night, and it keeps that promise. Good for fans of neo-westerns and the quiet-hero-pulled-back-in setup.
