Shallow Grave

Shallow Grave (1994) is a crime thriller from Danny Boyle you can watch online on iFILM. Three Edinburgh flatmates find their new lodger dead and a suitcase stuffed with cash under his bed. They have no intention of sharing the windfall with anyone.

Journalist Alex, accountant David and doctor Juliet decide to hide the body and keep the money. First someone has to dispose of the corpse, a job that falls to the quietest of them, David (Christopher Eccleston), and slowly wrecks his mind. The cash changes all three. Old friends start watching each other, bolting doors and assuming the worst. Meanwhile, other people are coming for that suitcase.

This was Danny Boyle's directing debut, made a year before Trainspotting and his first collaboration with Ewan McGregor. A sharp, mean little British film about how fast friendship curdles into paranoia. It stars McGregor, Eccleston and Kerry Fox. Stream Shallow Grave (1994) online on iFILM.
