Shanghai Knights

Shanghai Knights (2003) is David Dobkin's action comedy, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson are back as an odd-couple duo, this time trading the dusty American frontier for buttoned-up Victorian London.

The trouble starts when a Chinese conspirator murders Chon Wang's father and slips away to England. The former Imperial guard and his fast-talking partner Roy O'Bannon book passage across the ocean to settle the score. Once there, the chase turns out to be bigger than revenge: Chon's sharp sister Lin has uncovered a plot against the British Crown, and almost nobody believes her except the perpetually flustered Roy. Chan throws acrobatic punches around hansom cabs and revolving doors while keeping the flirty Roy at arm's length from his sister.

A sequel to Shanghai Noon, the film swaps cowboy shootouts for slapstick brawls built out of umbrellas, ladders and market stalls, tipping its hat to silent-era clowns. A young Aaron Taylor-Johnson turns up as a street kid in the mix. Stream Shanghai Knights (2003) online on iFILM.
