Trigun: Badlands Rumble (2010) is a feature-length anime film from Madhouse — watch online on iFILM. Director Satoshi Nishimura reunited the original cast for 91 minutes set in the same desert wastelands: Vash the Stampede, Meryl, Milly and Nicholas D. Wolfwood are all back.

The trouble started twenty years earlier, when Vash let the legendary robber Gasback slip away rather than see him killed. Now Gasback has a score to settle with the town of Makka, the local boss has hired every bounty hunter available, and a young woman named Amelia has her own private reasons for hunting Gasback down. The film plays like a very good extended episode from the original series at its peak — the same deadpan comedy sitting next to surprisingly sharp action, now backed by a proper theatrical budget.
