Synopsis

The Magnificent Seven (1960) is a landmark Hollywood western you can watch online on iFILM. Director John Sturges assembled an unforgettable cast — Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, and Robert Vaughn — for this bold reimagining of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai set in the American frontier.

A small Mexican village has been feeding a gang of outlaws led by the ruthless Calvera for years, paying tribute and staying quiet. Desperate, the farmers scrape together their savings and hire seven gunfighters. Each one carries a different reason for taking the job — money, escape, or something harder to name — and none of them expects it to get this complicated. Calvera does not plan to leave quietly.

Elmer Bernstein's score gave the film one of the most recognisable themes in cinema history; the opening march became an instant classic. The picture earned an Academy Award nomination for its music and launched multiple sequels. Watch The Magnificent Seven (1960) in full online on iFILM.
