Synopsis

My Bloody Valentine (1981) is a Canadian slasher you can watch online on iFILM, directed by George Mihalka and set in the played-out mining town of Valentine Bluffs. Twenty years after a cave-in, a killer in a miner's gas mask comes back with a pickaxe.

The local legend is simple. A mine collapse once buried five men; the lone survivor lost his mind and swore revenge on every February 14th. For two decades nobody dared throw a Valentine's party. Then the kids do exactly that — and the bodies pile up, one heart literally mailed in a candy box. Paul Kelman, Lori Hallier and Neil Affleck lead the handful trying to make it to dawn.

Heavily cut by censors on release, the film only got most of its grisly footage restored years later, which is why fans now treat it as one of the most underrated stomps of the early-'80s cycle. No gloss here, just the real claustrophobia of wet tunnels and a single bobbing headlamp. Pick it up if you like your horror practical, mean and free of CGI.
