A stray bolt of lightning hits a metal fence post and brings the killer back, no longer a man but a rotting, unkillable thing. Tommy warns the sheriff that the murderer is loose again, nobody at Crystal Lake believes him, and a summer kids' camp has just opened its gates. Cue the methodical body count the franchise built its name on.
