In the Land of Saints and Sinners (2023) is Robert Lorenz's crime thriller, available to watch online on iFILM. Set in a remote Irish village in the 1970s, it follows an aging hitman trying, at last, to bury his past.

Finbar (Liam Neeson) is tired of killing and wants to live out his days quietly among his neighbours and his books. Then an IRA crew led by the cold-eyed Doirean (Kerry Condon) rolls into town, and the locals find themselves in the line of fire. Finbar picks up the gun again, this time not for pay but to protect the few people he still cares about. The rhythm leans Western rather than action movie, more long looks and silences than shootouts.

The supporting cast includes Ciarán Hinds, Colm Meaney and Jack Gleeson of Game of Thrones. This is not another Neeson revenge ride but a restrained, almost melancholy story about reckoning and conscience, framed against bleak Irish countryside.
