Synopsis

The Boondock Saints (1999) is a crime-action thriller you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Troy Duffy. Two Irish brothers in Boston decide God wants them to wipe the city's gangsters off the map, and they pick up guns to do it.

Connor and Murphy MacManus (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) work in a meatpacking plant and pray before they kill. A bar fight with the Russian mob convinces them their slaughter is a holy calling. One mobster drops after another, the neighborhood starts treating the masked vigilantes as folk heroes, and an oddball FBI agent named Paul Smecker, played by Willem Dafoe, walks the crime scenes reconstructing exactly how the bodies fell.

Duffy shot the movie on a shoestring, and a near-total theatrical flop turned into a home-video phenomenon with a devoted following. The fractured interrogation editing, the recited family prayer, the streak of black comedy: fans quote all of it. Stream The Boondock Saints (1999) online on iFILM.
