Sting

Sting (2024) is a creature horror movie you can watch online on iFILM. Twelve-year-old troublemaker Charlotte crawls through an air vent into her great-aunt's apartment to swipe a collectible doll, and instead finds a tiny, oddly clever spider.

She hides it in a jar, names it Sting and feeds it cockroaches in secret. The trouble is, her pet keeps getting smarter, learns to mimic almost any sound, and grows at a terrifying rate. Before long, neighbors and pets start vanishing from the crumbling apartment building where Charlotte's family lives. The thing that once fit on a coin is now hunting people.

Australian director Kiah Roache-Turner brings a playful, inventive streak to the genre. The spider was built with practical animatronics rather than pure CGI, which makes the creature genuinely repulsive in the best way. Kate Walsh and Ryan Corr play the adults who grasp the danger far too late.
